SC HISPANIC COMMUNITY LIAISON SUMMIT
In April 2014, SCHLHC, in partnership with the Greater Columbia Community Relation Council, hosted South Carolina's first Hispanic Community Liaison Summit. Hispanic Community Liaisons and representatives from organizations who are currently engaged with or interested in outreach to the growing South Carolina Hispanic population came together to discuss the liaison role, best practices, challenges, and the needs associated with the role of connecting S.C.’s Hispanic/Latino community to the information, services and programs available to them. We heard from eight panelists representing diverse perspectives of liaison roles, in addition to engaging in group discussion and reflection about our roles as Hispanic Community Liaisons.
The SC Hispanic Community Liaison Summit was an incredible experience and we are so thankful to all of our sponsors who made the event possible. Stay tuned, as SCHLHC is currently working on producing a report of the findings from the Summit.

The South Carolina Hispanic / Latino Health Coalition is actively seeking sponsorships to help us further our mission to promote the health and well-being of Latinos in the state of South Carolina.
